Skype - it's been a godsend to me, stuck in this #$%#$! place. Just now, while talking to my daughter in London, a John Simmonds called me.
I thought it might be a Simmonds I knew, so answered. The b
d told me my computer had a virus, and they would fix it.
Skype is soooooo good, is there nothing to be done about scum like this?

A scammer could phone your land line couldn't they - then what'd you do?
Block the number - report the number to Skype - job done.
Or do you give everything up that you do after one sl.irritating experience?

Mr Toad. Of course, I did tick the annoying box, but that is no protection from the next change of name, and it's a lot more intrusive than e-spam, since it can intrude loudly into very personal conversation. The issue is again about sh1t-heads spoiling something that is of great benefit to us masses.
I guess that's what I'll have to do. It's a shame really, because I have been leaving it wide open in the hope of hearing from friends from the past. The modern computer world has had me talking to folk from my schooldays - often for the first time since we were nippers.
You can set Skype to accept only calls from contacts you've approved.
