Not Exactly a Computer Question.

I have a few 8mm family films from when I was a kid which I would like to get on to DVD if possible.

Can anyone offer any advice and suggestions on the feasibilty, how it may be done and likely costs?

Many Thanks,

BB

My father had our family transferred to VHS a few years ago, the results were very good except for the cheesy music the company put on the tape. I googled "8mm film to DVD" to find some copmpanies offering the service. One quoted £6.50 per 50ft reel and £20 per 200ft reel plus a charge to transfer to DVD.
