Internet stops working after 10 minutes

I have uninstall Norton and McAfee and now my internet stops after 10 minutes.

I need to reboot to get another 10 minutes

Any idea on how to fix this?

It seems like you didnt properly uninstall Norton, but only 'turned it off' - it will reactivate itself within 10 minutes or so.

You MAY have an issue with a neighbor intruding to your wireless address space and overpowering your signal.

Are you sure it is EXACTLY 10 minutes? or is it just approximate?

need more info

You need to go to a site (Google 'Uninstall Norton') for the only sure way of ridding yourself of Norton.

Not sure if same applies to McAfee.

Uninstall McAfee

McAfee offer an uninstallation tool on their website "MCPR.exe"
Download and run to clean up all traces.

Norton removal tool (from Majorgeeks). McAfee removal tool (also from Majorgeeks.)

Both AV vendors have the exact same tool - which is updated periodically - on their support pages. I have linked the MG pages simply because they are a little easier to find and download from.

You can have one (and only one) AV resident on the computer. This is probably why you are experiencing the internet problem.

Choose one AV to retain and keep it; uninstall and run the removal tool for the other.

What other security programs are installed?
