iPlayer again

iPlayer again
Use iplayer a lot, can watch steamed HD progs ok but mostly download em to watch on Iplayer desktop, open it tother day to see it has all changed, moaned a bit as one does to the effect of why dont they leave the bloody thing alone,
Anyway open it tonight to download Digging for Britain in HD,click on download and am taken to a page saying dowload iplayer destop upgrade,one clicks on it it opens I click save it disappears so I click run,it says it is already running,so I go back t iplayer select the prog I want click download and up pops the page advising me to upgrade to the new iplayer desktop,also lost the progs I had saved in desktop player and I cannot download anything now,Buggah it!!!
Why dont they leave things alone!!if it int broke dont fix the buggah!!
PS this is the second time the exact same problem has occured with desktop,same thing happened on me last hard disk.
