Just having an uncomfortable little wriggle that this may have been triggered by complaints by Keef and myself that the 'go to last post' icon is inconsistent in its execution. Could it be that someone at IB saw this and said to him/herself 'well, that's easily fixed' and b***ered us all up.
Nah, it couldn't be that.
could it?

Not really - even with a direct line to the IB sysadmins we mods can barely get them to accept that the problems we report are not figments of our fevered imaginations.

Do I detect just a tidge of paranoid despair here, Mr Saab? Mind you, 'twould be perfectly understandable in view of the sterling work you do.
Carry on modding.

(Thread drift. Now how would one cast that movie?)

And I got the dreaded "page cannot be displayed" screen when I tried a Reply last night. Let's see if this works...

Using an ancient IE 6.0, BTW.

Posts...erm, post, but all I get is a white screen. I go to the post by another means, and it's there!

Can't get a link to embed in a new post however. Same white screen, and even opening another browser and looking at it with that, doesn't help.

"Internal server error" when making a post. Can't be sure if it is a PPRuNe thing (there are some issues at the moment) or something to do with my pooter. Any help please.

I'll see what happens when I try to answer.

This appeared - URLs seem to sit in the box, but don't go. However, the post- posts. I'm having to wait another 37 seconds. why oh why? Takes all the fun out of quick repost

Oddly, that embedded link worked. Mostly they just give the WSOD.

Still not working here, but the sun must be close to waking up in California. Whether or not California will consider this problem worthy of attention, we must wait to see.

I've got phpBB setups running in several places, and they "just work". Maybe this software is just too complex to be workable...

I'm beginning to think that Jim has it. I notice that when I post a reply in a thead that I've read, and then go back to the front page and round again to check the reply, it shows "unread posts" even though the only unread one is mine.

Odd how different people are having different issues.

Happened again then. Had to go out of post, and reselect the thread from the top. There it was.

Just this up top. No warnings etc., of any kind.

Yep - still happening here to, in both Firefox and IE7.

Knowing tech support, first line of response will be "we can't replicate that here"

Yup, it's been happening for the last 2 weeks and has now migrated into posting! When i hit the 'submit reply' button the next page is now a whiteout in the middle of a snowstorm in Siberia. I only know that my post has gone through if i hit the back page button twice, get the original composed message box and i scroll down to see my new post there.....There's something going on at IB, tinkering with the matrix
