Based on security issues with iPhones being exploited in OZ and Android phones having security issues with Tapatalk, I would be very hesitant in running until the security has been sorted. I have an iPhone and I will NOT be putting Tapatalk on it.

I highly recommend the Site Admin research this carefully.

I'm assuming that you are talking about how passwords are stored in the Android app. That issue was resolved a few month ago.

I would also like to use Tapatalk on PPRuNe.

Absolutely no way I'm afraid.

Convenient for us users - total nightmare for security. Our boffins do not like how far and where it can drill into our system. Not while they still have breath in their bodies they say.

Using the Opera mini browser on my iPhone makes the forums easier to read than using Safari.......I don't know what it would do for Android phones...

For the reasons so succinctly explained by The Towers above, TAPA talk is not on the cards.

To cheer you up though, hereīs some hot off the press today info: Internet Brands is working on their own solution which is in beta on one of their sites right now.

Donīt lose heart just yet.

Opera is fine on Android also as is the default Webkit browser. Can't say that I've noticed much difference in performance between them thoguh. I guess not enough Ppruners use Opera to hit the site to make it sing.

Too bad. Tapatalk is great app on the Droid. I use it my union's forum with no security issues.
