Modify Bios defaults?

Modify Bios defaults?
I still occasionally get a tiresome 'Checksum error' requiring re-jigging of a Phoenix Bios on which I have tweaked boot priority and silent fan mode from factory default.
Is there any way I can save this 'new' Bios as Bios default?

Thanks Mac- having had a browse through yours and various other options (now I have Googled for CMOS and not BIOS
) I have decided I will just put up with having to reset the two params rather than possibly court disaster, but appreciate the link. Call me chicken...................
