Weather add-on for IE8

I use Forecastfox with Firefox.

Is there a recommended equivalent for IE8?

What other 'core' add-ons for IE8 do you consider 'essential'?

I have Adblock, AVG Safe Search, British English Dictionary, Dictionary.com, and RealPlayer Browser Record - though I'm not certain I need the last one (RealPlayer) unless it facilitates playing clips that I happen upon.

Many thanks - I'm finding numerous 'hidden' applications that are vying for access through my firewall (such as Googleupdater and Googletoolbarnotifier).

Second that advice on Real Player.

One of the first things I removed when my computer arrived.

Can't recall whether you are a W7 user, CPTN, but the desktop has a weather 'gadget' available which calls up IE when you click it. Sometimes even gives the same guesses as the BBC weather page.

Yes, this particular machine is W7, but I wanted a similar facility as Forecastfox.

I'll give the desktop gadget a try . . .

Thanks.
