My hotmail seems to be sending out spam with some link which i have not tried to open does that mean my laptop may be infected or is a problem with hotmail as have recieved from other people.I hardly use hotmail

- how do you know? Your hotmail address may well have been 'harvested' by some nasty person and is being used as the 'from' address.

I've had something similar before. Have you tried changing your password? Thats how i solved mine.

probably your pc is infected with malware. download spybot and malwarebytes, update them and run them. Make sure your antivirus is up to date. Like Norton IS 2010 or a respectable one.
I have seen this many times that you get emails from yourself with your email on the subject and it's something you never sent.
