Background internet traffic
Hi All,
I would like some help in understanding why there is so much internet traffic when I have no internet programs running.
I am on Telstra Bigpond ADSL+2 connection.
After 1:30 hours of being online with no programs running the Local Area Connection reports 135000 packets sent and 136000 packets received?
Is this normal, or do I have a virus or something?

Crisis over.
I have just run Spyware Doctor and removed several tracking cookies and two trojans. The system is now stable again.
Will have to keep the Little Dogs off of my machine in future.
