Adobe Reader 9 upgrade problem
Adobe recently applied an automatic upgrade to its reader program. It did not complete the process and displayed an error message to the effect that it lacked the necessary privilege and asked me to log on as administrator. The problem was that I was in fact logged on as administrator.
The process caused the previous version to be deleted.
I only use the programme to read PDF documents and have installed Foxit to do the job.
I am interested in any ideas on the problem.

Suggest a complete uninstall of Adobe that may still be on your disk and then a clean reinstall from Adobe:
Adobe - Adobe Reader download - All versions
It may still be there but just unuseable?

Thank you for your replies. I cannot uninstall Adobe os it was apparently uninstalled as a part of the upgrade process.
I have installed Foxit and problem solved.
