It's supposed to be a 'minder' for bugs etc on your PC and in theory repair any problems, but don't hold your breath. Either un-install it or disable it in the start up menu if you're unhappy with it, you'll never notice the difference. Gateway help desk I believe ask you to run it if you have a problem.
