Bright blue rectangle

Hi guys

I hope you can help.

Just appeared on my screen is a bright blue rectangle (90mm x 50mm approx) with 7 squares across the top with various hyerglyfics (sp). I can't click on any of them as the cursor passes underneath the rectangle.

I had this happen to me many moons ago and I can't for the life of me remember how I got rid of it.

I have tried closing down and re-starting but to no avail.

Any help you are able to give would be very much appreciated as it is really annoying me.

Many thanks in advance

Regards

A pound to a penny it's your monitor controls. Can you exit the monitor menu or switch it off & on again.?

Can you select the options in the mystery rectangle using the buttons on the front of your monitor?

If so, sprogget is right!

Hi everyone

Many thanks for your suggestions.

Did a little of pressing buttons on the monitor, closed down pc and, hey presto, when it opened up that annoying rectangle had disappeared.

Once again, fellow Ppruners have come up trumps.

Cheers
