Help! Javascript problem!?
Hello All
PLEASE can someone help me with the following? When I try and open the following websites
https://www.ebanking.hsbc.com.hk/1/2...&COUNTRYTAG=US
Windows Live OneCare safety scanner: Free online tool for PC health and safety
all I get is a blank page and eventually it goes Internet Explorer cannot open this page. All other pages I try and open are fine.
I have tried IE,Firefox and Safari. Same result on all three. No problem on the desktop, only on the laptop.
Someone said something about it being a possible javascript problem?
PLEASE! Anyone have any ideas?

BMM I think it is to do with your security settings in your browser, see the following links :-
Firefox - How to Turn On JavaScript in Firefox | Terry's Computer Tips
IE - In Internet Explorer, how do I turn Java or JavaScript off or on? - Knowledge Base
You my have to download java again but I doubt it.

Just to (maybe) eliminate one possibility, can you get to this test page?

That you can read the test page means that it is probably not malware causing this. It could be a recent Java update, don't really know.
I can view the bank page and the one care page no problem, and have the latest Java.
What version Java do you have?

Can you get to the "Home" page of each site? (Try deleting all stored cookies first or you will probably get re-directed to the links you posted)
Windows Live OneCare
and
https://www.ebanking.hsbc.com.hk/
Then see if you can navigate in from there.
One thing I noticed, both sites seem to have country/language detection. That may be causing you problems.
