Hmmm, no mention of a multi copy license, you would think that they would offer a 2 or 3 copy one for home use since an awful lot of homes have several PCs nowadays. Might cut down on piracy a bit. Another missed opportunity I think.

Mind you well worth pre-ordering looking at the prices,

Another stunning performance

Dont' forget when you upgrade your ancient XP installs' for all three of your networked home computer suite - Don't forget on those pesky little extras like an anti virus that runs under Vista/Win 7 or the backup software that you have been using for the last 5 years or so. All at the rate of a Pound to the Dollar - A bargin !! - Are Microsoft still fighting the battle of New Orleans - Bluecoat = Scapegoat ? Or does S Ballmer secretly dislike us for reasons that are obvious, ex colonial power etc - How to snatch defeat from the jaws of a technical victory and paralise future IT spends in Gov/Education in the does'nt matter UK.

PS I know Gov / Dept for Education & learning have confidential bulk purchase purchase agreements with MS but this does not auger well - does it ?

A whole new meaning to a RIPoff

So having lived in Texas for a while, what would happen if I'm all Window Sevened up, and come back home?

I know some of the things, like a million $$$$$ for a thimble full of petrol, and smacking my head on pub beams but specifically the right to use my legally purchased OS in the UK.

Remember Rivets, the install is always glued to the motherboard.

Yes, I was thinking about that today. That seems more than unfair. I know there are ways to get permission to repair etc., but what a drag.

I don't know if I'll haul my PC home, but the laptops, presently on Vista, will have been owned long enough to not pay duty. Well, that's if the rules haven't changed. We'll see.

It was more to do with the right to use. I guess until something needs updating, it would just be like any other trip.
