User management software
Hi all,
I'm trying to intoduce user management to a site I have where I want to keep some content to members only.
I've spent a number of hours trying to get a couple of freeware apps to work, Locked area was one of them.
Installs seem very problemmatic and I can't get any of them to work at all (yes I know it could just be me) but they should be quite straightforward, upload, configure the DB access and then configure the app through the browser.
Can anyone recommend a free (or cheap) tool that could do this for me where the installation is not too complex?
Cheers,
GB

Well, how safe do you want it to be? An easy solution might be a small php script for verification of a password you distribute to the authorized users...
If you're on a unix/linux system, you could try a .authorize mechanism. Not the latest in terms of security, but reasonable..
Not sure if this helps but anyway....
