Anybody familiar with WII?
I have a WII problem!
Cannot connect to internet with the WII when router security is enabled. I have put the WII's details into the router's allowed list etc but I have to disable all security for it to connect. I get error code 51330.
Its a netgear router for SKY bb.
Any help greatly appreciated,
Thanks

There are lots of potential problems!
1) use fixed IP address (manually enter all IP address, subnet mask, router and DNS servers) instead of DHCP (ensure you use an address outside the router's DHCP scope, but in the same IP subnet).
2) ensure that Wii MAC address is permitted on the router
3) ensure that Wii IP address is permitted on the router
4) ensure that security is set to match your Netgear router -
If your router is using WEP encryption:
5) Ensure that the router is set to 802.11 b and g (not n)
Off the wall suggestions - some people suggest laying the wii flat rather than use the stand (assume the aerial is then in the same plane as the router).
Also, removing Game Cube memory cards seems to help...

If your router is using WEP encryption:
- Ensure your key is hexadecimal, consisting of 0-9 or A-F only, no other special characters or letters.
- 64 bit encryption requires your WEP key to be 10 characters consisting of numbers or leters A through F.
- 128 bit encryption requires your WEP key to be 26 characters consisting of numbers or leters A through F.
- WPA - PSK(TKIP)
- WPA - PSK(AES)
- WPA2 - PSK(AES)
