any kind sole
Sole? SOLE?

It's SOUL, now write it out 500 times!

Oh yes, the max length for a USB 2 cable is 5m.

You can, I believe, extend this by using powered hubs as repeaters, with up to 5 hubs, providing a theoretical maximum of 30m from PC to device.

As to where to purchase said cable - google is your friend. There are umpteen vendors of USB cables.

Here's an Active 5m extension, for example (like having a powered hub in the chain).

You are however, unlikely to find a USB A to B cable of that length. Use as many 2 or 5m USB Type A Male to USB Type A Female cables (active or with hubs) as you need.

You're lucky this thread hasn't been flooded with the fish punsters from Jet Blast, SD!

Maybe I'll tip them off.........

Please, this is the Computer & Internet forum, not the Computer & Fishing net forum!
