The Windows 7 turnoff

Sorry, that's a potentially misleading title for a bit of news that W7 users, and those planning to use, might find of interest:-

Well, as soon as they turn off the bug that kills dual tv tuner cards, I'll be a happy man.

I still can't believe that the most basic version is going to have a limit of three simaltaneous (sic) running programs!!

Having said that, the rest of 7 looks pretty damn good!!

I've been using that feature for a while now and it's quite useful,
but limited in what you can turn on/off at the moment, this will be improved in the RC.

Build 7057 around now in the usual places. One hears on the grapevine that the dual tuner problem is fixed, huzzah! plus a whole new sound scheme for windows too.

I build these iterations out of habit. I've had windows 7 now in every form since build 6956, that's five builds all told. I usually get rid of them after a few days. I don't know why I bother

Windows 7 and WiFi

Can anyone recommend an USB WiFi Network Adapter for a laptop that works with Windows 7. I have a Belkin which is fine with XP but 7 does not wish to know it.

Thanks.

Try downloading the vista driver for it from belkin and installing it, it may install "as is" or you may need to use the compatibility feature and tell it it works under vista (I had to do that to install the driver for my film scanner)
