XP/Vista 'Driver verifier' problems

I had a mailshot offering me a monthly manual of 'handy hints' for Windows and containing some 'tasty titbits' to tempt me to buy. One of these was to set 'Verifier' to run on boot to check my drivers. I no doubt, with my luck, got something wrong in the settings BUT it is known to cause lockups with some installed programmes, one of which is NVidia stuff, I believe, as well as Norton.

Anyway - continual BSOD on boot, so here is the fix if anyone else gets it:

Boot into Safe
'Run' - 'verifier /reset' (note space) - ok

Fixed.

Thank the Lord for a dual boot into 2000 with internet access......................
