Outlook, names not saving when sent

In outlook, I can create and send emails fine but when i go back to send another email to the same person the name doesn't auto populate.

I have recreated the profile but the same issue occurs.
Any help would be appreciated.

Toby

I don't mean to state the "bleeding obvious", forgive me if I am, but there is an option that needs clicking to turn that feature on?

Buggered if I know where it is though......(pause)......

I just looked in Outlook 2007.

Tools/Options/E-mail options/Advanced E-mail options/Suggest names while completing To, Cc, and Bcc fields.

Even if that isn't your problem, I'm damned chuffed with myself for finding it.

Are you saving the names in your "contacts". AFAIK, Outlook only auto-populates names from there.

Keygrip - The Profile has been recreate which, by default, this is ticked.
gizmocat - I can type in names i have sent to before and they autopopulate. these people are not in my contacts list.

I was thinking it may be something to do with a corrupt NK2 file or file in that folder but i wasn't sure.

Do you think it could be something to do with this?

in outlook 2003, select tools/options/e mail options/advanced e mail options and make sure automatic name checking and suggest names when completing to, cc, bcc are both ticked.
