Convert .mod files to burn to dvd
I've lost the software that came with my HDD Camcorder, I urgently need to burn some files from the camcorder to DVD for my sons school project. I've bought new discs from JVC but need to burn the DVD's for him to hand in by Friday and the discs won't be here by then. I'm after some free software that I can use to convert .mod to a useable format to burn to DVD or some sofware that will allow me to burn .mod. I have trawled the internet as best I can but can only find programs that will allow me to convert a few minutes or will leave a "banner" in the middle of the picture.
I don't want to fork out for something I'm only going to use once since I've bought the discs from JVC.
Anyone any ideas of anything I can use?

.mod files are actually mpeg2 video files, the format used by DVD. Rename them to .mpg and they should import into any DVD authoring program.

You could try downloading SUPER and see if it caters for that (it's free) but, if it's the same thing by another extension, as Shunter says, then that seems doubtful.

Try AVS4YOU Best software for you on today's market. Subscribe and download now for free! . Free software which allows you to change from any video format to the video format you require. Worked for me. Sorry about the mini advert but the only way I could copy the address for you.

Do you have a DVD recorder or access to one?
If so - Video out on the camera to video in on the recorder and off you go.
Hope you are not a Grand Mother!

I don't own this space under my name. I should have leased it while I still could

Brilliant solution. I downloaded bothe the convertor and the editor. The editor seems to do the job on its own, no need for the convertor. I will play a little more but it looks money well deserved.
