Creative camera on Vista
Anyone know if the VF-0050 camera is supported by Vista?
So many things seem to run like magic, but then there's the ones that don't.
The above camera works well on XT, but not on Vista. All the usual maker's site and Download.com don't seem to cover this widely used camera.
Members of this forum often point me to a simple solution, but two of us have been searching for 40 mins or so, and drawn a blank. Driver Detective keeps popping up of course. Clever that, even sneaks in from Creative's own site.
The strange thing is that Creative shows pictures and not model numbers. The nearest picture, seems to be saying the camera is Skype specific/enhanced. That soft loads but does not run.

Found this on a web site, might work.
VF0050 Vista driver ! It works, July 9, 2007
I was also about to give up trying to find a Vista driver for this great webcam, when I finally tried out the default Xp driver from the creative website.
After installing the driver, the last screen got stuck. I then logged out, and after logon, plugged the Webcam just to check, and ... it detected it correctly!
Works with MSN and Skype as it did running Xp !
