I am out looking for an old MS game where you where given a random number and then some other numbers which should be combined to achieve the first one.

Any ideas where I can download it from?

I take it you're referring to a Countdown-like game. In which case, Googling for "countdown game" or "numbers game" will give you several free and non-free leads.
