PC shutdown problem- advice please
I am currently using a Hewlett Packard desktop pc (HP T790 ) and using windows XP. When i shutdown it goes through the expected routine, plays a little tune etc with the message "Windows is shutting down". Then, it sounds like the hard drive shutsdown but then the machine just locks up. The cooling fan is still running and the big blue switch is still illuminated and does nothing if pushed. Its still in this state 10 mins later and the only thing to do is pull the plug. The machine boots up ok and is fine to use in every other way.
