MicroSoft Excel

Is MS Excel only avaiable with MS Office or can you get Excel any other way.I have word but anybody I know swears by Excel.

Yes it can be bought on it's own. Best bet is to trawl some of the online suppliers like Dabs, Insight, software warehouse etc. It's not cheap though.
