Program to key shift/change pitch of music

A friend of mine who is a professional musician recently bought software called mp3KeyShifter to change the keys of somebacking tracks he had. Whilst the result was ok for domestic use, the quality was nowhere near the professional level advertised.

Does anyone know any any other software that will process a file (usually WAV) and change its pitch?

Adobe Audition is a good start. It's very professional, and expensive.

Audacity may do it. I've never used that particular feature, though. Audacity is free.
