Post Outlook Express

For sometime now, whenever I launch Outlook Express, it automatically disconnects me. This is becoming a real headache, and despite my trying to find a solution (using help), nothing seems to work.

Does anyone know why this is happening and how I could resolve it?

Cool

There is a function that automatically disconnects after the send/receive excercise has been completed.

On the Toolbar click on send/Receive, expand to show details and ensure the check box is not checked.

Problem solved.

I tried that but it didn't work. Whenever I am connected to the 'net and press the "send/receive" button, it automatically disconnects. The box which says "hang up when finished" is empty; there isn't a tick in it.

Have a look in: Tools > Accounts > Mail

Check the "Connection" Properties for each email account. If one of them is checked by "Always connect to this account using:" but the box underneath is blank, that's probably the culprit.

Either choose a dial-up connection in the box or remove the check.
