Post Zonealarm indicates mass attack. But why?

Usually with Zonealarm as firewall I get one 'alarm' every couple of hours. In the last 90 minutes while going about my legitimate internet business I have had 453 alarms [and counting], all from different addresses. Can anyone suggest why that might be? The only thing I can think of is that my ISP is frequented by lots of gamers and perhaps my assigned address when I dialled in was previously given to some gamer and people are trying to communicate with that computer and getting repelled from mine.
I just hope that Zonealarm is 100% effective!

I think you probably hit the nail on the head, but if you are unsure about Zone Alarm, go to the following site and try Shields Up.

The site will explain what its all about, but I do check my security regularly.

I get this quite often with my ISP (NTL).

Try dropping the connection and re-connecting, this should give you a new IP address (unless you are on a cablemodem - in which case you will have to turn it off for 2 hours).

It should help.
