Lockup Catching SW?
Anyone know any good freeware/shareware offering that could help trace the source of intermittent lockups that have persisted through 3 different O/S versions (suggesting HW). Needs to run under XP.

Find a copy of Sisoft Sandra on the net. Most larger download sites would have it. It offers some nice burn in / loop testing features for most hardware. Aside from checking the obvious memory, check the HDD for read write errors and the CPU.
Another thing to consider is the temperature of the CPU. Is the heat sink properly fitted, fan working, and the case well ventilated?
