Just been looking at XP with a view to upgrading. There appears to be an irritating little gismo that refuses to be removed. It's the pop down menu for accessing the photo gallery. It's as irritating as Will Shakespeare or that damn paperclip on Word. I'm sure there's an easy fix, but as it's not my machine I've got no manual.. .Help!!

Anyone know how to disable speech in XP? You can deselect <ToolS><SPEECH> but it just turns itself back on again next time you enter MS Outlook or MS Office.

Can't seem to erradicat the b***dy thing, it goes only to reappear on the next boot-up.
