locked out ? .....
from time to time after selecting "FORUMS" on PPRuNe my system seems to stop dead and the only way I can get going again is to to do a soft re-boot ...... this happens most when there is breaking news like the Birmingham prang or at times when I would expect the system to be busy ....... is this just a sign that PPRuNe is overloaded? ....... I dont have the same problem with less popular sites.

hobie....it is working fine here, maybe there is a bit of an overload from the ISP you have....if all the PPRuNers are on the same ISP, it would dramatically slow the juice and only droplets may reach your place...
Just joking, guess there is
a. an ISP problem or a router is overloaded
b. a problem at your end
c. you unfortunately log on when 1% of other PPRuNers do the same (42000 members --> 1% = 420 log ins...)
