Arrow Visual Basic error in Word 2K

For some unknown reason, I have developed an error when opening word 2000. I get the following pop up, Microsoft visual basic - component not correctly registered - then click OK or Help - clicking help does not help, clicling OK comes up with Unexpected error (336), click ok and all appears fine. Does similar when closing word. Excel etc are fine.
I did create a macro to select all text on a page and to copy it to the clip board. I deleted this and also uninstalled and reinstalled office, but it still happening, I have run virus checker and have not had any untoward e-mails. I have trawled through the microsoft knowledge base etc and can find nothing.
Any body any ideas, apart from format c: /s

It may be better to run the 'Detect and Repair' option form the Help Drop down menu (in Word2000) rather that uninstall/re-install.
Also try running a registry repair utility.

Thanks, tried all those but it didn't work.
I downloaded VBA 6.0 from flightsim.com and installed it from there, all's well (so far) now. I couldn't find VBA on w98 or office disks which didn't help. Thanks again.
