Click here and follow the steps and you'll be flying Spitfires (among others) online against dozens of others, its quite addictive.
Merry Christmas.

Thanks Pengineer, I now officially have no life, as all my spare time seems to be here or in AirAttack!!!!!!!
Loads of fun, but glad I don't have to do it for real, I've been crashing & burning all day!!

Well if youre going to disagree with what I say, I'm gonna have to 'shoot yer ass off' next time I see you in Air Attack!
Whats your call sign so I can watch for you?

Its a bit tricky at first but after a while you get the hang of it. Theres a few tricks like dropping your gear and flaps if someones on your six, then watch them shoot past you, then nip in behind them and......ah well, must scramble.

I'm still just barely surviving for a few minutes at atime, in the rookie Public Free for All arena.
I'm sure I'll be there later......much, much later!!!

Watch for 'Kermstein' (usually easily identified as normally crashing in flames).

And by the way, thanks for filling in the rest of my holidays too!

Err, it was me that told ya about air attack. Seems Pprune thought it was advertising! And deleted the thread! Jeez it's only an on-line game. Whatever. Anyway see you in the ethereal skies. Start in Rookies and when you feel brave enough, venture into Full Theatre FFA or Teams. Most fun you can have without takin your clothes off.
Oh yee of little faith. I have about 16 alias's (4 of which are AMA's) but watch out for Hamlet, Bloodthirsty or Harpoon and say hello. C'mon in Ppruners the more the merrier. dakakakakaka
Anyone interested in joining a squad, (matches are even more addictive!) post on here and I'll get in touch.

Yup, a Pprune special events squadron sounds a brill idea. Is there enough of us? I've got a AMA called Whiskey Zulu as well, but that old crate needs a tune up before I take her up again.

Real pilots have an advantage over the Pentium ones? Could've fooled me! All I seem to do is add to other people's scores and rank promotions!

Kermie, some ppl have been playing Air Attack for 4 years! Only way to get better is practice, practice, practice. Use the early spit in FFA. It's got good cannons if not as fast as the later spit. You access upgraded planes when you are 20 kills from SQL rank. When you get a bit better, go into team arena and practice with the ME109 and the LA7 great planes in a team battle but not very good in FFA. You've got to get used to their strengths and weaknesses. Swoop & boom is the only way to fly the 109. And shoot close up in it. The cannons are lethl within 500m but overheat after 3 seconds, so you've got to be accurate! If you time it right they explode! 1v1 is good praccy as well. Just ask someone for a 1v1 and record your 0-10 defeat and learn from it. Oh and for any real pilots ...... remember to turn your TCAS off, otherwise it gets annoying in FFA.

Not to encourage further sleepless nights among the multi player air combat community, but have you lot played Aces High? It's by far and away the mutt's nuts when talking about online furballs and looks bloody fantastic to boot. (and you get to drive tanks as well as fly spitfires and b-17's and so on and so forth).

Aces High - just look at the screenshots!

This one DOES have a subscription BUT you don't have to pay for the 8 player head to head option EVER so if that meets your needs it's completely free (and you get the usual free trial).

Try it, it rocks.
