kak.hta worm keeps appearing on start up
Don't worry...he's not harmful any more - but he's a bloody nuisance.
Every time I turn on my PC, I get a copy of "kak.hta" in the 'programmes\startup' menu.
First job every day is delete file.
I've looked at the virus web page ( http://vil.nai.com/villib/dispVirus.asp?virus_k=10509 )and complied with all suggestions...but cannot find kak.hta and/or kak.htm files anywhere.
I've deleted the nasty in the registry - but still, first boot up of the day, kak.hta file appears in start up menu.
Suggestions on a postcard.

Bear Cub,
Copped a dose of this about six mths ago and it took me a while to clear it out.
1. If you know which email contained the virus, make sure you delete it. Other wise any time you open or even preview it ... away you go again.
2. Have you checked your autoexec.bat for two lines which copy and delete kak.htm (File => Run "Sysedit")
... Check the topic Disappearing CD Drivers for the exact format. Delete these two lines and restart.
I will try and recall what else I had to do.

Agent86 - you are an absolute star.
Had a wander around sysedit - found two files that spoke of 'kak' - nuked 'em.
Problem solved.
Thankyou very much, indeed.
What's the next problem to solve?.....Now, about those Bears.......
