Thumbs up

This works in Internet Explorer.

When you're reading the thread you want to copy, point at the "Address" bar and right click. The URL in the address bar will be highlighted. From the context sensitive menu that appears select "Copy".

The URL is now on your clipboard

When you are creating the post in the thread you want to copy to, put the cursor at the point where you want the URL and right click. From the context sensitive menu that appears select "Paste".

Bob's your Uncle.

You knew that all along now, didn't you?

Question

Cheers for that info but it still does'nt work on this new format site.
Take this thread for example, all that is in the address bar is:-
http://www.pprune.org/

And as can be seen this is just the forum address not the thread address.

Or is it just me being thick ?

Nef G - You're going into the frames version. There's plenty of advice on what to do further down the page on this forum.

There's also a link for you to bookmark that will give you proper addresses everywhere you go on the site.

Easiest way would be to right click anywhere on the forum page (not on a link or image though)

Then click on properties.

The link to the thread is the text in the URL address field.

If all that is too much hassle and you prefer the forum without the frame running down the left, you should open PPrune with *this* address :

http://www.pprune.org/cgibin/ultimatebb.cgi

With this solution, all threads will display their respective links in the browser address field, as usual, and not the address of the page containing the frameset.

Hope this helps.
