Showing Email Address/URLs as links - How?
Help please, my desktop is now on the high seas, hopefully still in its container. Never had a problem with Word 2000/ Outlook 2000, any email address or URL automatically went blue and became a link in outbound mail and letters.
Now using a new laptop, same Word 2000/Outlook 2000, tried all the options in Tools, both programs but cannot get it to make links of either an address or URL, what have I missed please?

This is not an fix for your entire problem, but one thing you can do if you want to be able to put a URL in is in the *insert* tab, there is a *hyperlink* tab, where you can type in the URL....that's one way, but it doesn't really fix your problem....I'm afraid I can't help there, sorry

Turn on or off automatic formatting of hyperlinks:
1. On the Tools menu, click AutoCorrect, and then click the AutoFormat As You Type tab.
2. Under Replace as you type, select or clear the Internet and network paths with hyperlinks check box.
