Question Psion Programing

I'm writing a C of G program using OPL. The result is displayed on the screen showing all the decimal places, ie 3.123456789.

Can anybody tell me how to restrict it to 3, ie 3.123?

Many thanks.

I don't know OPL but being curious I looked at an online language reference and found the function FIX$, which converts a float to a string with a specified number of decimals. If for example x is a ten digit float then (I think) FIX$(x,3,10) rounds it to three decimal places and stores it as a string. The result should be printable as a string.

Cool

Brian, many thanks for that. It lead me to the relevant entry in the Psion programing book, and it does what I want.

Remote link problem

I use a PSION 5 as my diary. In the past I have been able to make back-up copies on my PC. However at present I fail to do this.. .On selecting remote link on ‘cable’ and baut rate on ‘115200’ (max) and click ‘ok’ it reads ‘information not found’.

Can any of you chaps advice me what I need or can do to establish a connection with the PC?

Many thanks
