Command Army-type Games?

Does anyone know the names of some good theatre commander type games (NOT Command and Conquer) for example, Axis and Allies is one I've heard of. Are there any others, and if so, where can I buy them from? (Bearing in mind I live in Arsehole of the world, aka Middlesbrough)
