Freezing here

Over a fair period of time I have had to notice that the site best assured to freeze my computers up, requiring more than re-load, full re-boot, time and time again is PPRuNe. Not complaining, you understand.

In complete contrast to you, I have never had any trouble at all.

I click the mouse at the required places and up it comes every time.

I used to have the same problem. After upgrading my browser (and more important java) the problem went away completely. I also noticed the the bulk of my problems seemed to be related to the banner ads.

I had this problem at one point (with a Solaris version of Netscape 4.7) and it turned out to be javascript in a banner advert killing netscape. Turning off java/javascript fixes it, but is a pain in the backside because many other sites require javascript. They aren't as good as PPRuNe, though...
