Unhappy Changing laptop DVD region codes.

I've got a Toshiba Sat Pro 4360 with a DVD but it only allows you to change the DVD region code 5 times. After that you need to take it back to Toshiba for them to change something that gives you another 5 changes ($$). The software states that reinstalling will not reset the number I guess there is something stored in the registry.

Since I pick up DVD disks all over the world and I can play them fine on my mod-ed DVD at home I want to run them on the laptop as well.

Any takers on where it keeps this info??

umm...start over at
http://www2.datatestlab.com/regionhacks/

(and do a web search if that doesn't work for you.)

I'd suggest www.google.com with "changing DVD region codes" or somethig along those lines.

Hava a look at http://www.supersmasher.com/
They have a programme called DVD genie which is supposed to override region coding. It's in their dowload section under Power DVD.
