Imac doesn't see Ipod

My Ipod doesn't show on Itunes despite being originally synced with this computer. I've tried resetting my ipod and restarting the Imac and Itunes with no joy.

Anyone have any ideas please

Another day and it starts working!! Obviously its good on Saturdays
