"No signal" lcd telly and laptop

My lcd telly has stopped recognising my laptop. I've tried switching off laptop screen by pressing Function+F11.

Any idea's.

(Daughters laptop works ok)

Try looking in the display properties, in mine there is a method that allows you to force a missing display connection (it's in the "set up multiple display section)

I don't own this space under my name. I should have leased it while I still could

Depends on your OS but the first thing I do when I have a problem is restore the computer back to a time when it was OK. Works best for me if you do it by pressing F5 during boot up.

Try reinstalling the graphics drivers - it worked for me on a laptop today!

Otherwise give us some more info to work with - OS & graphics card make and model would be good!
