Help with 'Files Secure 2.2' please
My son's PC seems to be infected with a 'program' called 'Files Secure 2.2' which is the usual trojan type I guess.
My problem is that Google shows up a host of pages purporting to offer removal tools, but I am not good enough to know which ones are for real.
AVG 7.5 does not pick this up.
Please would someone advise me which of the many tools/progs on offer will do the job of eliminating this pesky little chap.
Dell Dimension PC, Win xp, AVG 7.5, AOL Bb via a wireless modem router.
Many thanks,
mcdhu

This site and this site also appear to offer fairly informative removal information. I was a bit surprised not to see a number of Google hits referring to forums that "do" HijackThis logs, so I guess it might be fairly new.
Superantispyware is a good, reputable, thorough scanner. Free version available.
There were a lot of Google hits referring to keygens and cracks. Appears this rogue antispyware is usually installed when attempting to install fake codecs. The message for your son should be clear.
