Changing a COM PORT
Just installed a new hard disk and I can't get my modem to work, from past experience with this motherboard I know its something to do with the Com port conflict with the onboard sound chip or summat,it insists on taking Com Port 1,I know from having this problem before now I get get everything to run fine if I can just change the Com port from 1 to Com Port 3,for the lif of me I cannot remmember how I did it,twer simple with Win 98 but I am now running Win XP Pro.
Greatfull for any help.

for XP go to control panel double click on system click on the hardware tab, click on the device manager button click on ports, click the one you wish to change, and click on the port settings tab.
