GNS 430, RAIM, Aerial Question
I have a GNS 430 and a GNC 250 XL in my aircraft. When I switch on
both GPS's, the GNC 430 will not, in the satelllite status page, show
the solid signal strength bars even though the hollow bars are all
showing good strength and the 250 XL works just fine.
Does this have anything to do with the aerial? I have swapped aerials
with the 250 - same problem. I also notice that on very cloudy days
this problem surfaces but on blue sky days, the solid signal bars come
back!
My sw version is 2.13 and I have had the unit for 7 years. Has anyone
encountered this problem? Does it have anything to do with RAIM? Thanks.
