Since 2 days ago, Skype no longer works within Thailand on multiple ISPs and on at least 5 different account holders I’ve checked with.

Is this a global/regional issue or are we experiencing some form of local blocking/censorship?

Any other PPruNers in the area?

It's a global issue that they're working on, check their website for details. It affects the ability to log in.

I'm fixed now (but so's the cat).

However, some countries are blocking Skype, including the UAE (Abu Dhabi, Dubai etc.). All Voice-over-IP software competes with the local telecoms monopoly, so they block them. (No, I'm not exaggerating.)

Had the same problem in the USA, was a skype thing, all OK now.
