Question Autofill list way too long

Hi all,

When I'm using Google, I start typing my search and up comes the autofill list. I want to get rid of the existing list but still have autofill enabled for forms needing my name, address, etc.

If I turn off autofill, then turn it on again, will that erase the current list? If not, how do I do it?

I use Firefox as well as IE, so need to clear the lists in both.

Thanks

There's probably a more technical way of doing this, but:

Go to the main google page.
Click once on the search line - the full list of previous searches will appear.
Hold down the delete key until they're all gone.

You might have to do the same for both browsers.

Hope that helps,

AV8.

Or, in Firefox at least you can go to "Tools", "Options", "Privacy" and click on the "Clear now" button.

Start, settings, control panel, internet options, content, auto complete, forms. Don't think it affects the autofill function in the Google toolbar
