Anyone getting problems with Vista?
Got a new Acer laptop preloaded with Vista.
Since I've had it, I've opened 3 user accounts on it.
1. The integral web-cam now only works on 2 of the accounts .
2. I've tried every bit of advice in the book to create a restore point and it tells me it's an access violation (0.5001000 or something). I do have full Administrator priviledges set.
3. Neither will it allow a restore or F10 it back to restore factory settings (it says it is restoring itself but it lies and leaves everthing unchanged!)
4. Over the last 2 days, it's speed has slowed considerably. I clean out the cookies and registry files on a daily basis to keep it fast! Could it just be the Sky broadband?
Anyone got any ideas?

I have vista running hp flawlessly. I did however, have two run ups at it. 1st install hung on boot up & 2nd was an HDD failure, so not Vista's fault per se.
Web cam problems reported all over the internet for driver compatibility. Restore points. Dunno. Broswe event viewer for info, restore via safe mode or run windows debugger are all good ideas.
