Vista Sound Problem
Hi all. Got a new laptop here with Vista on it. I have noticed the sound on it is really low although the volume is up at 100%.
This laptop I am using now has XP on it and when I open the volume controls there are several slides that you can adjust. On Vista there is just the two.
Anyone know if I have a problem or is the volume set on Vista really low?
Thanks.

BRL.....
Not got Vista personally, but have had a similar problem in the past with XP, so you might find likewise.
Set the volume on all media players on the computer - Windows, Real, VLC or whatever - to 'max' and then close.
I seem to recall only minimal controls on XP until checking a box for extras. Can't quite remember where; one of those convoluted routes via Control Panel, Sounds, etc., I think (but maybe different on Vista).
